ELISABETH SPERLING
Tutor and Study Coach

ABOUT ELISABETH
Experience • Expertise • Encouragement
I have been a teacher and coach all my life. Through a carefully individualized process, I help students and professional clients build mastery, confidence and joy in their work.

With a BA from Harvard and an MA in Education from Columbia, I taught History for fourteen years at The Horace Mann School in New York City while also working with students individually to help them achieve their learning goals and educational dreams.
I tutor students in grades 6-12 in study skills and advanced reading, writing, and analysis. I most often work with students at NYC independent schools, including Dalton, Brearley, Collegiate, Columbia Prep, Trinity, Ramaz, Heschel, Horace Mann, Fieldston, and Riverdale, and I tutor students worldwide via Zoom.

I also help graduate students and professionals prepare manuscripts and presentations, and I coach senior business professionals in New York, Silicon Valley, Europe and around the world to find meaning and purpose in their personal and professional lives through mindfulness, self- and other-awareness, and resilience tools.
